There are MILLIONS of ways to make money fast.  When people ask me how to make money fast, I ask them–what are you good at?  For each person, the road to wealth and financial success will be different.  Everyone has different skills.  Everyone has their own set of interests.  So naturally, everyone will be good at different money-making methods–some will be good at picking stocks, while others will be great at online auctions.

In any endeavor, there are three steps to success:

1. Knowledge

When embarking on your money-making journey, you must first know what others have done before you, what others are doing NOW to make money.  You don’t need a comprehensive encyclopedic knowledge of ALL the money-making methods, just a couple that interest you.  If you’re good at numbers, and you’re looking to invest, why start before you know the terminology, the latest and historic trends, the philosophies of investing?  Starting without knowledge is like taking a trip without a map.  You’re bound to get lost.

2. Passion

You won’t be passionate about everything.  Finding what you’re passionate about isn’t easy.  But if you stick at it, and you’re not LAZY, it shouldn’t be too difficult.  Without passion, a money-making endeavor will always end up a bit short.  If you’re not passionate about what you do, it isn’t impossible, but it IS very difficult to become better-than-average at it.  And you MUST be better-than-average if you’re to make money.

3. Creativity

This step is often overlooked by those who are interested in how to make money fast.  You can’t simply just copy other people’s methods.  Everybody is different and so are their situations.  What worked for one person will NEVER work exactly as is, for you.  So while it’s important to look at the deeds of others, and the methods that they used to achieve success, use other people’s experiences only as a guide, a barometer, for your own journey.  Feel free to be creative, to blaze a new trail and take some risks of your own.

Learning how to make money fast is as simple as that.  Of course, the underlying philosophy is pretty simple but the hard work, the actions, the pursuit of knowledge, all these things that making money encompasses-these are not easy at all!

But persevere, and anyone, from your grandmother to your 12 year old kid can make a few bucks here and there.  It’s just about having the confidence to go out there and do it!

Ever wonder how the rich do it?  Well–it’s easy to make 2 million dollars, when you already have 1 million to work with.  That’s just doubling your net worth.  But how much are you worth now?  If you’re a college graduate, fresh out the classroom like me, it’s a much more difficult.  My net worth, like yours, may be in the negatives, with all the debt we’re saddled with.

So how do you make something out of virtually nothing?  1 million to 2 million is simply 2x.  What about $100 to $1Mil?  That’s a whopping 10,000x.  Even $100 to $1000, theoretically might be more difficult than doubling your million dollars, because the rate of return would need to be 1000%, rather than just 100%.

But don’t give up hope.  There are so many ways to make money out there, it’ll make your head spin.  Not all of them are scams, but not all of them are golden nuggets either.  My advice to you is to pick one method, be it investing, cleaning carpets, marketing, whatever–and just run with it.  Try and make $10.  Then make $100.  Just build your way up slowly.  Rome wasn’t built in a day.

And don’t give up.  You WILL fail.  When I was starting out, I failed around 95% of the time.  But the 5% was what made me rich.  And the 95% failure weren’t even really failures, because I look at them as simply expensive (really expensive) lessons.  Your money is your life.  They are the chips you hold at the poker table.  You can use them to make money, or you can throw them away.  If you lose a pot, make sure you learn something from it.  Don’t gamble needlessly, have purpose behind everything you do.
